Palmer and Oma Mae Hicks Palmer. She retired from Singer Manufacturing and Ryobi. She was a member of Anderson First Assembly of God.Two sons survive her, Elmer M. Elrod, Jr. of Iva, SC and Thomas H. Elrod of Tyrone, GA; two sisters, Betty Perdue of Cleveland, GA and Louise Thomas of Demorest, GA; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.Her parents, husband, and one brother, Charles Palmer, preceded her in death.The visitation will be held at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.The funeral service will be held at Bethel Temple Congregational Holiness Church on Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at 11:00am with Reverend Jonathan Fitzpatrick officiating. The interment will follow in the church cemetery.
