The McDougald Funeral Home2211 North Main StreetAnderson, SC 29621864-224-4343OBITUARY CAROLYN JEFFERSON July 31, 1940 - October 6, 2010TOWNVILLE, SCNellie Carolyn 'Nanny'Jefferson, age 70, wife of Larry 'Jeff' Jefferson of Townville, died Wednesday, October 06, 2010 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.Born in Anderson County, SC on July 31, 1940, Mrs. Jefferson was a daughter of the late Robert Lee Brady and Mary Etta Harris Brady. She was a 1959 graduate of Girls' High School and was a member of Glen Grove Church of God of Prophecy. She worked for many years at the Singer Manufacturing Company and later retired from Glen Raven Mills. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include her sons, Jimmy Jefferson and his wife, Angel of Belton and Mack Jefferson and his wife, Cindy of Anderson ; daughter, Mary McDaniels and her husband, Darrell of Belton; brother, Jack Brady of Fair Play; sisters, Beulah Suttles, Gail Bobo, both of Anderson and Madge Hix of Pendleton; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Buddy and Owen Brady and sister, Barbara Brown.A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Danny Driver.The family will be at the home of her son, Mack Jefferson, 208 Elm Avenue, Anderson, SC and will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Upstate SC and Western NC, 3535 Pelham Road, Suite 101, Greenville, SC 29615.A message of condolence may be sent to the family by visitingwww.mcdougaldfuneralhome.comTHE MC DOUGALD FUNERAL HOME is in charge of the arrangements.
