NELLIE MADDOXSeptember 1, 1943 - February 25, 2007ANDERSON, SCMrs. Nellie Ruth Whitworth Maddox, age 63, wife of Howard David Maddox, of 1908 Inman Drive, died Sunday, February 25, 2007, at the Hospice House.Born in Anderson, SC, on September 1, 1943, Mrs. Maddox was a daughter of the late Charles Raymond Whitworth and Ruth Odell Pelfrey Whitworth. She was retired from Wal-Mart with over 15 years of service. Mrs. Maddox was of the Baptist Faith.In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Patricia Maddox Johnson and her husband Greg and Regina Maddox Foster, all of Anderson; her brothers, Charles T., George, Alvin and Marshall Whitworth, all of Anderson and her sister, Formelia Ann Gilstrap of Belton. She is also survived by four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at 11:00 am officiated by the Reverend Kenneth Johnson and Dr. Ron Culbertson. Interment will follow at New Silverbrook Cemetery.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, February 26, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The family will be at the home of daughter, Patricia Johnson, at 335 Knollwood Dr. Anderson, SC.Flowers are optional.
