Nicole Josephine Horlier Reece, age 83, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Neuville-sur-Ornain, France on December 7, 1932, to Roger and Inez Molinari Horlier, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all she knew. She was the owner and operator of Reece's Smart Stop for 34 years. Nicole loved to cook, garden, and exercise. She was a member of Townville Church of God, and had most recently attended Centerville Church of God. She is survived by her sons, Marcel Reece, his wife Wanda, and their children, Chandler and Elizabeth Reece and Brandon Burdette, and Lorenzo "Bo" Reece, his wife Tina, and their children, Breanna, Colt, and Avery Reece, all of Anderson, SC; sisters-in-law, Simone Horlier, of France, Loretta Cox, of Lexington, SC, Pansy Mullinax, and Evelyn Spearman, both of Anderson; brothers-in-law, Kennith Reese and his wife Barbara, and James "Spank" Reece, all of Anderson, SC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Reece, who passed away in 1995; and a brother, Raoul Leon Horlier. The Funeral Service to honor the life of Mrs. Reece will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family would like to thank the staff at GHS, North Greenville Rehab Hospital, NHC and the Rainey Hospice House for the loving care shown to Mrs. Reece in her time of need.
