Nina Marie Spinelli Husty, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at her residence. Born in Staten Island, NY, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Anne Acquini Spinelli. She was a devoted career military wife of 22 years, a dedicated teacher, a loving mother and grandmother. Nina Marie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She is survived by her children, Col. Richard M. Husty, Jr. USMCR, Ret. and his wife Karin of Alpharetta, GA , Cdr. Peter L. Husty, USN, Ret. and his wife Helen of Newark, DE, Aleisha Troxell and her husband Scott, of Anderson, SC, and Heather Mitchell and her husband Andrew, of Seneca, SC; seven grandchildren, Brian Husty, Ricky Husty, Mary Hummel, Carolann Bancroft, Andrew McGlamry, Annsley Roach, Alivia Bell; six great-granchildren, Jaxon Bancroft, Ryder McGlamry, Karina Bancroft, Evelyn Bancroft, Leilah McGlamry, and Remington Bancroft; and a sister, Barbara Burcher of NY. The Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, May 22, 2017 at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church officiated by Fr. Michael P. Jones.
