Nina B. Silver, age 78, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Yancey County, NC on January 14, 1939, she was the daughter of the late James Edward Boone and the late Dolly Elizabeth Wyatt Boone. Nina enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Centerville Church of God. She is survived by her sons, Gregory Silver (Beth), of Anderson, SC, and Roger Silver (Belinda), of Seneca, SC; a daughter, Ginger Letterman (David), of Burnsville, NC; brothers, Butch and Harold Boone, both of Marion, NC; sisters, Golda Peterson, of Burnsville, NC, and Betty McDougald, of Valdosta, GA; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted and beloved husband, Charles Ellis Silver, who passed away in 2009; four brothers; and one sister. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. with the Pastor Terry Collins officiating. Interment will follow at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, prior to the service on Tuesday, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Richard Campbell Veterans Home, 4605 Belton Hwy., Anderson, SC 29621.
