Nora Elizabeth Copeland Moorhead, age 90, of Anderson, and widow of Harold Moorhead, died Friday, November 21, 2008 at Anderson Place Health Care Center in Anderson. Born in Cristobal, Panama, on April 23, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Louis Copeland and Lelia Mabel Holcomb Copeland. She was retired from the Singer Corporation and was a member of Welcome Baptist Church. She was a former Sunday School Teacher at her church, and also served as the Church Treasurer for over 30 years. She is survived by her daughters; Barbara Ayres and her husband Jack of Cumming, GA and Harriet Anthony and her husband Lon of Greenville son; Arthur Moorhead and his wife Sherrie of Birmingham, AL, sisters; Ruth Singleton of Anderson and Mamie Williams of Lawrenceville, GA and a brother, Charles Copeland of Warner Robbins, GA. She is also survived by six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Lillian Copeland. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Stephen Moorhead and brothers, Harry Copeland and Raymond Copeland. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 11:30 am at Welcome Baptist Church officiated by William R. West, Jr. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Moorhead will be placed in the church at 10:30 am.
