NORA JEAN HILLIARD SMITH February 6, 1956 - October 20, 2012 Nora Jean Hilliard Smith, age 56, of 195 Toney Creek Road, Belton, died at AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson on Saturday, October 20, 2012. Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Ray C. Hilliard, Sr. and the late Peggy Bolt Hilliard. She was married for 23 years to Waldo Smith of the residence until their divorce. Mrs. Smith was a Graduate of T. L. Hanna High School, Class of 1974. She was employed in sales throughout her professional career. Jean was a member of Concord Baptist Church. In addition to Waldo Smith, her former husband, she is survived by a sister-in-law, Jackie Pender of Anderson, and several nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, and bothers Ray C. Hilliard, Jr., Jim Hilliard; and sisters, Peggy Ann Turpen and Mary H. Sutherland. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at 2 PM at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Rev. Bob Marcaurelle officiating. Interment will follow at Old Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 12 Noon until 1:30 PM. They will be at the residence of Jackie Pender, 207 Tanglewood Drive, Anderson.
