Norma Jean Martin Koon, age 80, of Anderson, SC, loving wife to the late George H. Koon, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born December 1, 1941, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late John F. Martin and Ressie Arnold Martin. Norma worked as a caretaker and many years at Mac's Dry Cleaners. She was a member of Varennes Heights Baptist Church. She is survived by her brothers, Dwayne Martin and his wife Elva, and Furman Martin and his late wife Carole; niece, Kim Lindsay and her husband Kyle; nephew, Tim Martin and his wife Pamela; great-nephew, Samuel Martin; and special friend, Audrey Scott. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Robbie Koon. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 6, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow visitation in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Doug Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
