NORMAN D. HALL May 11, 1947 - August 11, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Norman Dean Hall, age 66, of Anderson, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2013, at his residence. Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Jack Hall and the late Mallie Elizabeth Haynie Hall. He proudly served his country in the United States National Guard. He was an insurance salesman with Liberty Life for 42 years. After his retirement, he was a school bus driver for Anderson County School District 5. He loved and enjoyed his family and friends dearly. He spent much of his time researching family genealogy and took every opportunity to go fishing that he could. He loved to fish but especially enjoyed the bonds he made with his "fishing buddies". He was a long-time member of Garner Memorial Baptist Church and currently a member of NewSpring Community Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Embler Hall; his children, Susan H. Martin, Laura H. Thompson and Joseph N. Hall; their spouses, Jason Martin and Jed Thompson; his four grandchildren, Jayce and Tyler Martin and Trent and Kendall Thompson, all of Anderson; his siblings Frances Campbell of Starr, Carolyn Martin, of Williamston and James David Hall of Anderson and their spouses, Herbert Campbell, Dale Martin and Clara Hall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Hall. The Graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Dr. Jack Couch officiating. The family will gather for a time of visitation following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Good Neighbor Cupboard, 313 S. Towers Street, Anderson, SC 29624.
