Norman Wayne Wham, Jr., husband of Sylvia Sharpe Wham, passed away December 21, 2021, at The Maples at Austin Place, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, he was the son of the late Norman W. Wham and Marguerite Smith Wham. He was a business owner of Wham Bros. Construction Co., Inc., and a member of Long Branch Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife and his daughter, Christy W. Burnette (Matt); a step daughter, Lexanna R. Jordan (Barry) and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Wham Burnette (Ryan); five grandchildren, Wesley Burnette (Chandler Payton), Hannah Burnette, Dawson Wham, Hawk Jordan (Cheyenne), and Alexis Jordan; three great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Smith, Charlie, and Lynn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Norman Wayne Wham III (Tripp); and a sister, Alice Wham Earle McMahan. The family will receive friends, Sunday, December 26, 2021, from 1:00-2:15 pm at Long Branch Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 2:30 pm with Rev. Wayne Watson, Dr. Clarence Adkins, and Rev. Barry Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605 and Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.
