Olin Dennis Balentine, 73, of Anderson, SC passed away at his home on Wednesday, February, 8th, 2017. Olin was a Retired US Army Sargent First Class serving in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. He was also a Master Mason and retired a second time from the South Carolina Department of Corrections as a supervisor in Perry Industries. Olin is survived by his loving wife: Patricia Ellen Madgic Balentine of their home; one son: Michael Dennis Balentine and wife Velma of Houston, TX; one daughter: Janis Patricia Balentine Harrison of Anderson, SC; four grandchildren: Caine Allen Balentine, Ricky Balentine, Alytia Balentine, Danielle Balentine, and Rochelle Balentine; and 2 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents Olin was preceded in death by one son: Todd Allen Balentine and an aunt: Mary Balentine Butler. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, February 13th, 2017 at 2:00pm. Interment will follow at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery with Full Military Honors. The Balentine family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Sunday evening, February 12th, 2017 at the funeral home.
