OBITUARYWith FlagDOUG CAMPBELLAugust 16, 1929 - April 10, 2009ANDERSON, SCOlin Douglas Campbell, Sr., age 79 of 119 Boxwood Lane, went home to be with his Lord, Friday, April 10, 2009.Born in Iva, SC, he was a son of the late Lewis Augustus Campbell and Hattie Keziah Latham Campbell. He served his beloved country when he entered military service during the Korean War, joining the U.S. Army, belonging to the 14th Infantry Regimen, 25th Division. Doug owned and operated Campbell Metal Works, Inc. until his retirement. He was a faithful member of The Church of the First Born and the V.F.W.He was preceded in death by his loving wife and mother to their children, Elsie Marie Roach Campbell; infant son, Lewis Edward Campbell; sister, Helen Elizabeth Campbell; brothers, Bobby Donald Campbell, Rodney Campbell, James D. 'Tuck' Campbell, John Boyce 'Tony' Campbell, Lewis Augustus 'Ude' Campbell, Jr., and Travis Neal Campbell.Doug is survived by his wife Joann Addison Campbell and his loving and dear children, Olin D. 'Sput' Campbell, Jr. and his wife Betty, his daughter Elizabeth Ann Campbell McAlister; one step-daughter; brothers, William Marcus Campbell and Roger Echols 'Dick' Campbell; grandchildren, Daniel Adams McAlister, Nolin James McAlister, Joshua Dutton Campbell and Krista Ann Marie Campbell; and 2 step-grandchildren.The Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 13, 2009 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by Rodney Campbell, Johnnie Cox, and Rev. Mike Harrell. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery with Military Honors provided by The Upstate Veterans Honor Guard.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, April 12, 2009 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.The family will be at the residence.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haven of Rest Ministries, P.O.
