Olin Dewitt Foster, age 81, of 504 Loblolly Drive, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Rainey Hospice House. Born on March 25, 1936, in Anderson, he was the son of the late Yancey Foster and the late Sara Adams Foster. For fifty-six years, he was the loving and devoted husband of Sandra Sexton Foster of the home. Mr. Foster was a graduate of Anderson Boys' High School, Class of 1954, and then proudly served his country in the US Army assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC. He later attended University of Georgia where he received a bachelor's degree in marketing. For forty years, Olin, along with his brother Kenneth, was the owner and operator of Foster Wholesale Meats in Belton. Mr. Foster was a devoted member of Covenant Baptist Church, and he was an avid golfer. In addition to his wife, Sandra, he is survived by a son, Jonathan B. Foster and his wife, Patrice of Lexington, SC; a daughter, Karen Foster Mills and her husband, James of Easley, SC; six grandchildren, Mallory, Jonathan, William, and Matthew Foster; and James and Kate Mills; a sister, Sara Francis Rogers of Ft. Worth, TX; and a nephew Brad Foster and his wife, Juanita, of Belton. In addition to his parents, Olin was preceded in death by four brothers, Clyde, John Grady, Kenneth, and Larry Foster; and a sister, Rudell Crisp. The funeral service to celebrate and honor the life of Mr. Foster will be held on Monday, February 5, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Covenant Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Steve Silvey officiating. A private interment with the family will be held later at M. J. "Dolly" Cooper Veteran's Cemetery. The family is at the residence and will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Monday at Covenant Baptist Church.
