Ollie Mae Griffin Fowler, age 83, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017 at Rainey Hospice House. Born in Toccoa, GA on July 12, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Luke Griffin and the late Amy Sertain Griffin. Ollie enjoyed working as a floral artist and spending time with her children and grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She was a teacher of God's Way Crusade for many years and she loved teaching about her Lord and Savior. She is survived by daughters, Diane Raines (Randy), Janet Cromer (Steve), Linda Tucker and Deborah Fowler McBride, all of Anderson, SC; a son, Mark Fowler (Cindy) of Anderson, SC; sisters, Joette Roach of Seneca, SC, Barbara Manley (Frank), Joyce Pitts and Janice Pulliam, all of Toccoa, GA; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Morris Fowler, sons, Fred Marshall Fowler, Wesley Fowler and Michael Fowler; and brothers, Ray, Carter, and Quinnon Griffin. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC.
