Opal Rush Anderson, age 89, of Anderson, SC, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Rainey Hospice House. Born March 12, 1932, in Greenwood, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Kirksey Rush and Ethel Watson Rush. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Glen Anderson; and brother, Wayne Rush. Opal spent her career in fine jewelry sales and she enjoyed gardening and writing. She was a member of Boulevard Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Curt Anderson of Greenville, SC, and Steve Anderson (Ana) of Charlotte, NC; daughters, Teresa Anderson of Anderson, SC, and Janet Callaway (Jim) of Greenville, SC. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service from noon to 1:00 pm.
