OPAL M. SWANEY ANDERSON, SC Opal M. Swaney, age 79, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2013 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Oconee County, SC on April 26, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Macie Grant Mize. She was a graduate of Townville High School and was a self-employed cosmetologist. She was the owner of Opal's Style Shop for 45 years. She was a member of Fants Grove Baptist Church She is survived by a son Wayne Swaney(Donna) of Pendleton, SC, daughter, Elaine Williams of Pendleton, SC, three brothers Dewitt Mize (Lou) of Seneca, SC, Odell Mize, Seneca, SC, Nelson Mize(Jeanette of Waianae, HI, two sisters, Willene Moore, Seneca, SC and Betty McGaha (Ken) of Seneca, SC, a sister-in-law Juanita Mize of Seneca, SC, four grandchildren, Jason Williams Summer), of Pendleton, SC, Jenna King (Justin) of Clemson, SC, Jamie Swaney, Josh Swaney (Tammy) of Antrerville, SC and five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild . In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Willie Edward Swaney, and her brothers Leland Mize, and Joe Mize. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Fants Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Robert Castro, Evangelist Jimmie Clark and Reverend Josh Hensley. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens, in Clemson, SC. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, November 4, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted.
