Oscar Addis, age 83, of Anderson, SC, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Clemson Heritage Senior Living. Born April 7, 1938, in Habersham, GA, he was a son of the late William and Myrtle Free Addis. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, William "Boots" Addis and Ronnie Addis; and sisters, Loraine Addis, Mary Freeman, and Ann Webb. Oscar retired from TTI in 2000. He enjoyed the classic western shows on television and competing in BBQ events. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Mary Diane Bibb Addis; sister, Vernie Patterson of Anderson; best friend, Jimmy Allison; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Sunday, October 17, 2021, at 3:00 pm at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dwight Greene officiating.
