He formerly ran several convenience stores in various locations. Survivors include sons, Oscar Smith of Pickens, SC and Bob Smith of Iva, SC; a daughter, Doris Mulkey of Calhoun Falls, SC; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Odell Coker.A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home by the Reverend Charles Howell.The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service.Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Upstate SC Chapter, 521 N.
