Pamela Duca-Buice, known affectionately as “PJ” in the south, age 68, of Camden, SC, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at AnMed Medical Center.

Born May 3, 1957, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of Rita Kehoe Duca and the late Frank Duca. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Tom LaDuca.

A devoted Navy wife for 24 years, she and her husband met in Bremerton, VA, where a friendly game of darts led to 38 years of marriage. They were then stationed in Charleston, SC, where they were married at the Battery. From there they were stationed in Orlando, FL, Virgina Beach, VA, and finally in La Maddalena, Italy until retiring to her favorite state of South Carolina where she loved to drink her sweet tea.

PJ loved thrifting and formerly operated several thrift stores. She had a true servant’s heart and was always caring for others. She was a big animal lover who enjoyed volunteering with animal shelters and taking care of animals. More than anything, she loved her family and friends and was a devoted wife and mother.

She is survived by her loving husband, Joe; children, Ericka and Corrie; siblings, Philip LaDuca family, JoEllen Hurst family, Frankie LaDuca; nephews, Mark Hurst family and Matthew Hurst family.

A celebration of life will be held in Chicago, IL in the fall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Humane Society of your choice in her name.
