Parniece Anderson Nashville, TN Nellie Parniece Anderson, age 80, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015, at her residence, surrounded by family. Born in Iva, SC at the Old Simpson Place, on September 26, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Gary Whitman and the late Eula Holmes Whitman. She was a loving wife, and mother. Parniece was a piano technician and also worked at Modern Woodmen of America as an Insurance Agent. She was a member of River of Life Church of God in Anderson, SC. She is survived by her children, Hank Anderson (Linda), of Starkville, MS, Mike Anderson (Lisa), of Cabot, AR, Phil Anderson (Megan), of Tyler, TX, Steve Anderson (Jean), Starr, SC, Doug Anderson (Gina), of Tyler TX, Ken Anderson (Karen), of Cleveland, TN, Pam Christenbury (Steve), of Starr, SC, Patricia Thomas (Dan), of Nashville, TN, and Paula McVicker (Mitch), of Atlanta, GA; brothers, Coleman Whitman, of Concord, NC; sisters, Hazel Campbell, of Iva, SC, Sylvene Keown, of Starr, SC and Christine Anderson, of Memphis, TN; sisters-in-law, Nell Vaughn, Bonnie Whitman, and Francis Whitman; brothers-in-law, Fred Anderson and Herman Keown; 44 grandchildren, including spouses and 39 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin E. Anderson; seven siblings, James, Bill, Clifton, Cecil and Leroy Whitman, Gladys Moore and Thelma Harward; and three grandchildren, Ryan, Crystal, and Brittany Anderson. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at The River of Life Church of God with Reverends Patrick Keown, Kevin Jones, Mike Anderson, and Doug Anderson officiating. Mrs. Anderson will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Iva City Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will be Chris Anderson, Clint Anderson, Reece Anderson, Michael Anderson, Luke Stone, and Cy Christenbury.
