Samuel Edward Dixon, 72, of Anderson, SC, passed away, Saturday, December 26, 2020, at AnMed Health Medical Center. He was born March 29, 1948, in Abbeville, SC, and was the son of the late Edward Alexander Dixon and Ruby Mae Graham Dixon. Pastor Dixon had a servant's heart and spent his life in the ministry. He is survived by his loving wife, Fredda Holmes Dixon of the home; daughters, Pam Black (Frank) of Easley, SC, and Rebecca Furtick (Kevin) of Anderson, SC; daughter-in-law, Sandra Dixon of Anderson, SC; brother, Jimmy Dixon (Sara) of Starr, SC; sisters, Gail Baker of Williamston, SC, and Elaine Moore (David) of Pelzer, SC; grandchildren, Matthew, Aubrey, Cody, Justin, Tyler, Alyssa, Lani, Kohl, Dalten, and Sara; and great-grandchildren, Raelynn, Emmett and Ava. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Samuel Joseph Dixon. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, from 12:30 to 1:50 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 pm in the Chapel with Pastor Joe Boring and Pastor Ashley Brumley officiating. Social distancing will be observed and masks are encouraged.
