Pastor Milton Barnes Hannah, age 84, of Piedmont, SC, dedicated husband to Carolyn White Hannah for 61 years, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.
Born August 29, 1938, in Belton, SC, he was the son of the late Furman E. Hannah and Myrtle Hawkins Hannah.
Milton proudly served his country in the United States National Guard and was manager of Winn-Dixie before entering the ministry. He was a devoted Clemson Tiger fan and loved to travel with his family, especially to his favorite destination, Pigeon Forge, TN. He loved God, his church, and his family. He was an incredibly positive person, always encouraging others. He was an influential figure and mentor to many other pastors with over 50 years served in the ministry and pastoral care as an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God. He left every church he pastored a better place, growing membership, facilities and leading many to Christ. He was a member of Tremont Church of God.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Joy McAbee (Steven), Lisa Wells (Jeff), and Hope Chapman (Patrick); sisters, Faye Hughes and Steva Jacobs; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Hannah.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 21, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 22, at 1:00 p.m. at Tremont Church of God with Rev. Eddie Allen, Jr. and Dr. Stoney Abercrombie officiating.
