He served in the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater and attended Clemson University. Mr. Durham retired from Hitec Chemicals, Inc. and was a longtime member of Fants Grove Baptist Church.Survivors include his son, Danny Durham; grandchildren: Danny Durham, Jr., Andrew Durham, Geneva Shown Rider, and Sandra Barr Cole; great grandchildren: Matthew Barr, Melissa Barr, Jason Rider, and William 'Billy' Rider. Also surviving are three brothers: Frank Durham, Hugh Durham, and Lawrence PeeWee Durham.He was predeceased by his wife in 2006, Geneva Roper Durham.The Funeral Service will be held at 2pm on Friday, October 29, 2010, at Fants Grove Baptist Church.
