Patricia Ann Hamby, 81, of Piedmont, SC, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020 at her home. She was born on November 12, 1938 in Greenville, SC, to the late John Lee and Ruby Lindsey Lee. Pat, along with her husband, were the former owners and operators of Norge Village Laundromat. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a hard worker, a great cook, loved the outdoors, spending time at their lake house and camping, especially at the beach. Pat was a member of NewSpring Church. She is survived by her husband of over 66 years, Douglas Hamby; children, Theresa Hamby, Donnie Hamby (Carlette) and Tony Hamby (Paula); grandchildren, Mitch Chappelear (Charity), Laura Ballard (Mark), Daniel Hamby (Jessica), Derek Hamby (Lauren), Chase Hamby, Sydney Hamby, Noah Hamby and Zoey Hamby; great-grandchildren, Jesse, Olivia and Jake Chappelear, Peyton and Addison Ballard, Drew and Dean Hamby, and Reese and Cora Hamby; brothers, Johnny Lee (Ann) and Sherman Lee (Patrise); and sister, Jean Barnette. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Don Lee and sister, Eleanor Robertson. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Greenville Memorial Gardens with Mr. Derek Hamby officiating.
