Patricia Hackett Lemon, age 90, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at her home. Born December 22, 1932, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was a daughter of the late James Hackett and Paula Thuransky Hackett. She was married to John Neil Lemon for 45 years until his death in 2008. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Jimmy Hackett and Joanne Cartwright. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Pat was a woman of many talents. She was a high school teacher, a property manager, realtor and Avon lady. In her teens and early 20s she was an opera singer before attending the University of Oklahoma. Most recently, she worked as an appointment scheduler at a photography studio until she retired at the age of 82. Following her husband's death, she relocated to Anderson to be close to her family. As an English teacher, Pat had a passion for literature and reading. She loved mystery novels and was an avid Agatha Christie fan. She would regularly read two books a week. She was member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She is survived by her children, Kevin Lemon, Cynthia Lemon, and Patrick Lemon (Bonnie Brannon); and grandchildren, John Michael Lemon and James Alexander Lemon. She also leaves behind her beloved cat of 18 years, Hubcap. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Philip S. Gillespie officiating. Burial will follow at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
