Mrs. Pat Stamps, age 81, widow of Haskell Stamps of 8 Anchor Point, died July 21, 2016, at her residence.
Born in Rutherford County, NC, on September 26, 1934, Mrs. Stamps was a daughter of the late Howard Worth Carroll, Sr., and Nell Sherrill Carroll. She was a graduate of Welcome High School in Greenville, SC. She was an avid bridge player and member of three different bridge groups meeting every Tuesday (Carolina Bridge Club), Wednesday, and Thursday (Social Bridge Group at JBC). She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted friend to so many.
Survivors include her children, William Howard Irvin, Jr. and his wife, Judy, of Easley, SC, Steven Carroll Irvin and his wife, Kelly, of Easley, SC, Michael Wayne Irvin and his wife Cean, of Townville, SC; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren. Additional survivors include her extended children, Sandra Quinn Hawkins of McCormick, SC, Diane Quinn Kellett of Anderson SC, Robert M. Quinn and his wife, Linda, of Calhoun Falls, SC, Russell Trevor Quinn of Greenville, SC; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren and Sam Stamps and his wife, Cindy, of Greenville, SC, Tony Stamps and his wife, Barbara, of Jacksonville, FL, Sharon Senn and her husband, Foster, of Newberry, SC; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and her ex-husband William Howard Irvin, Sr.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Worth Carroll, Jr.; and second husband, Johnny Quinn.
The Funeral Service to celebrate and honor the life of Patsy Quinn Stamps will be held on Monday, July 25, 2016, at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, at 12 p.m., with Rev. Jimmie Cash and Rev. George Donigian officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Serving as pallbearers will be Nick Irvin, Nathan Irvin, Ryan Irvin, T.W. Wheeler, Randy Moore, and Blake Ray.
The family will be at the residence, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, July 25, 2016, from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
