PATRICIA WILLIAMS BROWN Patricia Williams Brown, age 82, of Anderson, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2015. Born in Anderson on March 5, 1933, she was the daughter of the late James Paris Williams and the late Zely Aquilla Williams. She was married to the late Claude Milton Brown until his death in 1993. Mrs. Brown was a graduate of Anderson Girls' High School. She was employed as a secretary in the engineering office of the South Carolina State Highway Department, a position from which she retired after many years of service. Pat was an active member of Pope Drive Baptist Church where she served faithfully in the sanctuary choir. She was also a volunteer at AnMed Health Medical Center. Survivors include a son, Glenn Williams Brown of Anderson; a daughter, Donna Brown Hollingsworth and her husband, John, of Anderson; three grandsons, John Gabriel Hollingsworth and fiance Christina Michelle Kinlaw, of Monroe, North Carolina, Jacob Matthew Hollingsworth of New York, New York, and Joshua Patrick Hollingsworth and his wife, Jordan, of Anderson; and a great-granddaughter, Kennedy Hollingsworth of Anderson. A funeral service to celebrate and honor the life of Patricia Brown will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2015, at 3 p.m. at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Rev. Ken Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Donna Hollingsworth, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, July 23, 2015, from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Gifts in memory of Mrs. Brown may be made to Pope Drive Baptist Church, 2510 Pope Drive, Anderson, South Carolina 29625.
