Patricia Ann "Patsy" Cox, age 77, of Iva, SC, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 4, 2022, while at her home. Born August 8, 1945, she was the daughter of the late William and Estelle Jones of Iva. She was married to Sylvester "Vester" Cox for 50 years until his death in 2014. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Lucille Davis, Bertha West, Edith Hulme, and Sandra Bond; and brother, William Jones, Jr. Patsy was retired from Mohawk Flooring, Inc. and spent most of her days doing her favorite hobby which was sewing. She loved making blankets and other items for those she held dear. She was a member of Union Baptist Church and loved cooking for her family who she fed every Sunday for lunch. She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Vaughn (Steve) of Hartwell, GA and Angie Sutherland (Jimmy) of Iva, SC; son, William Cox (Melanie) of Abbeville, SC; sister, Geraldine Adams (Ray) of Iva, SC; grandchildren, Chad and Tara Bridges, Nathan Vaughn, Amber Carson, Jessica and Collin Sutherland, Kaila Olaes, Kelsey, Ethan, and Dawson Cox, Katherine and Tristen McCurry; and 16 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from 1:00-2:45 pm at Union Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm with Rev. Chase Cleveland, Rev. Mike McMillion, and Rev. Charlie Howell officiating. Burial will follow at Iva City Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted. The family will be at the home, 216 Wiles St., Iva, SC 29655.
