Patricia Grainger Mauldin, age 77, of Chapin, SC, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023, at Lexington Medical Center. Born December 12, 1945, in Loris, SC, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Grainger and Viola Bullock Grainger. Patricia received her master's degree from the University of South Carolina and was the head librarian for the Chapin Library. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and traveling with her husband, having visited all 50 states. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Allen O. Mauldin; son, Ryan Herbert O'Neal Mauldin (Sarah) of Atlanta, GA; and brother, Tommy Grainger. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Chapin, SC. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Iva City Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Gray officiating.
