Patricia Wentz Clemson, SC Patricia Anne Genge Wentz, age 79, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Daytona Beach, FL, she was the daughter of the late Victor Patrick Genge, Sr. and the late Hazel Edna Harris Genge. She received her undergraduate degree from Jacksonville State and her Master's in Education from Clemson University. She taught business at Pendleton High School and also was an adjunct instructor at Tri County Technical College. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Patricia is survived by her children, John Patrick Wentz, Sr. and his wife Justina Barrett, of Philadelphia, Maryanne White and her husband Tony, of Clemson, SC, and Dr. Susan Elizabeth Gibbs and her husband Mitch, of Virginia Beach, VA; and five grandchildren, Ryan White, Dylan White, John Patrick Wentz, Jr., Charles August Wentz, and Barbara Jane Wentz. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Gus Wentz; and two brothers, Graydon and Victor Genge. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Ignatius Smith, OFM officiating. The family will receive friends, prior to the service, on Wednesday, at the church, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621; or St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1200 Cornelia Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
