Paul Edward Brown 81, of Anderson, SC passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Ellenburg Nursing Home. Born May 18, 1936 in Elberton, GA, to the late Otis Newt and Selma Evans Brown. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Faye Sellers; daughter, Theresa Hatchell, son, Eddie Brown, brothers, Charles, Elon, Frank, Hamp, Monroe, Floyd and J.C. Brown. He was a dolfer at Wamsutta Textiles Mill and a charter member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed camping, going to the mountains and just being in the outdoors. He was a vivid storyteller and enjoyed trading cars. He is survived by his sons, Tony Brown (Jean) of Hartwell, GA and Otis Brown (Loretta) of Hartwell, GA; daughters, Glenda Hatchell Cobb (Chad) of Anderson, SC, Debra Hatchell Loftin (Terry) of Jackson Gap, AL and Susie Beard (Johnny) of Royston, GA; sisters, Virginia Woodall, Bobbie Tucker and Linda Haygood all of Hartwell, GA, Frances Bryant of Anderson, SC and Viola Tolleson of Atlanta, GA; 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 17, 2017 at The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4:30pm - 7:30 pm Friday, June 16, 2017 at the McDougald Funeral Home at other times the family will be at the daughter's residence at 600 Colonial Place, Anderson, SC 29625.
