Paul Glenn Matthews 63, of Anderson, SC, (formerly of Rock Hill, SC) passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Rainey Hospice House. Born August 14, 1954 in Sanford, NC, he was the son of the late Glenn Aaron Matthews and Lora Foy Caddell Matthews. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Faye M. Ledbetter. He received his bachelor's degree from East Carolina in 1976 and was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church in Anderson, SC. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Kim H. Matthews of Anderson, SC; sons, William Paul Matthews (Emily) of Matthews, NC and Wesley Hall Matthews of Mt. Pleasant, SC; sisters, Jean Jerger of Oriental, NC and Becky Zacharda of Ridgefield, WA; and two granddaughters, Isabeall and Eleanor Matthews. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at St. John's United Methodist Church, 515 S. McDuffie Street, Anderson, SC 29624. The memorial service will follow at 2:30pm Wednesday with Rev. Dr. Kitty Holtzclaw officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alexa R.
