North Avenue, died Monday, November 06, 2006 at his home.Born in Brooklyn, NY on July 24, 1924, Mr. Selice was the son of the late Lorentino Selice and Filomena Coppola Selice. Survivors include his wife, Dina and three children, Stephanie, Toni, Paul III, three grandchildren and two sisters.Mr. Selice was a BA graduate of Columbia College and received a MA from Columbia University, both in New York City. He was a math teacher for many years, having taught grades 7-12. He was also an instructor at Adelphi University and served in the United States Army during World War II. After retiring to Anderson, Mr. Selice volunteered as a SAT teacher in the Anderson County Schools. In 2000, he was Hanna Volunteer Teacher of the Year. He helped serve at the Anderson Soup Kitchen and was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.A Mass will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church officiated by Father James N. Dubrouillet. Interment will follow in Old Silverbrook Cemetery in Anderson.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 from 6-8 pm and on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 from 6-8 pm. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday.
