Paul O. Threlkeld Paul Oscar Threlkeld, age 85, of Anderson, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014, at the Richard Campbell Veteran's Nursing Home. Born on December 5, 1928, in Calhoun Falls, SC, he was the son of the late Arthur Paul Threlkeld and the late Hattie Taylor Threlkeld. For 62 years, he was the loving and devoted husband of Betty Jo Smalley Threlkeld of the residence. A graduate of Antreville High School, he proudly served his country in the US Army during the post WW II era and later in the National Guard. Mr. Threlkeld was an entrepreneur having operated two businesses in the Anderson area. He was of the Baptist Faith and was a Mason and a Shriner. In addition to his wife, Betty Jo of the home, he is survived by 2 sons, James Paul Threlkeld and his wife, Karen of Anderson, and Joseph Mark Threlkeld and his wife, Deana, of Anderson; and 4 grandchildren, Paula, Billy, Chase, and Alex Threlkeld. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by 2 brothers, A. P. and Harry Threlkeld, and 2 sisters, Sarah Threlkeld and Azalee Jansak. A funeral service to honor the life of Paul O. Threlkeld will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at 3 PM at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Rev. Ron Culbertson and Rev. Jeremy Colloms officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of Mark and Deana Threlkeld, 950 First Creek Road, Anderson, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Threlkeld may be made to the charity of one's choice.
