Paul Edward Vollrath, affectionately known as "Papa", passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 at his residence. Born in Royston, GA on March 26, 1934, he was the son of the late Howard Vollrath and Worther Mae Clark Vollrath. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Paul retired from Merita Bakery after 30 years of service. After retirement he operated Mill Town Antiques and Collectibles in Iva, SC. He was of the Methodist faith. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Margaret Shirley Vollrath; a son, Paul Edward Vollrath, Jr.; a brother, Edgar Vollrath; a sister, Sara Beauchamp; and three grandchildren, Kemera Vollrath, Jamie Vollrath, and Paul Ethan Vollrath. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.
