Paula Lea Foley Johnson Maxwell, age 80, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at her home. Born in Many, LA, she was the daughter of the late Homer A. Foley and the late Eloise Magness Johnson. She retired as the receptionist from Richard Campbell Veteran's Nursing Home and was member and the pianist for many years at Lakeview Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving children, Reverend Dr. Thomas Cole Maxwell and his wife Jo Beth, Dennis Edward Maxwell, Kenneth Eric Maxwell, Melissa Lea Maxwell Blackwell and her husband David, and Michael Dave Johnson, of Waco, TX; a brother, Walter Reese Johnson, Jr., of LA; three sisters, Lola Mae Pierce, of KS, Alberta Jo Wenke, of AR, and Leslie Wayne Foley, of KS; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Maxwell, a son, Richard Dennis Johnson, a sister, Jamie Ruth Monfort; and a brother, David Foley. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Dr. Thomas C. Maxwell officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers serving will be Joshua Cole Maxwell, Jacob Mitchell Maxwell, Jonathan M. Maxwell, Jordan M. Maxwell, C. David Blackwell, Jr., and Jason Norryce. The family will be at the home of her daughter and will receive friends on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
