Cobb of 338 F Street, died Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at the AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Franklin County, GA on October 23, 1934, Mrs. Cobb was a daughter of the late Lester Aldrich and Wilmer Dutton Aldrich. She retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas after 26 years of service where she was a member of the Owens Corning Retirees Club. She was a member of Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church and the Grace Ramey Sunday School class.She is survived by her husband of the home; sons, Rodney Cobb and his wife, Debrah Cobb and Chad Cobb and his wife, Glenda Cobb; brothers, Dee Aldrich of Greenville, Carlton and Leon Aldrich, both of Anderson; sisters, Alma Sutherland of Mauldin, Shirley Evans, Tommie Kellar and Maxine O'Donald, all of Anderson. Four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Marty Cobb and sisters, Ethel Crisp and Annie Ruth Williams.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2009 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Brent Lollis. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Serving as Honorary Escort will be the Retired Ladies from Owens Corning Fiberglas.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Flowers are optional.
