PAULINE ROLAND HAWKINS March 11, 1917 - April 16, 2007 ANDERSON, SC Beloved, wife, mother and grandmother, Pauline Roland Hawkins, died Monday, April 16, 2007 at Eden Gardens Assisted Living in Aiken, SC where she had lived for the past year and a half. Born in Anderson County, SC, Mrs. Hawkins was a daughter of the late William J. Roland and Florence Ann Compton Roland. She retired from retail, loved to play bridge and have special times with family and friends. She was a member of Orrville Baptist Church in Anderson, SC. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Findley (Dean) and Sue Hammond; devoted and loving nephew and niece, Bill and Wanda Roland; grandchildren, Mitch (Tammy) Findley, Amy (Tim) Bradsher, John Gaines Hammond III, Heather (Kurt) Kaufelds; great-grandchildren, Jackie Bradsher, Tyler Bradsher, Ethan Kaufelds, Kyle Kaufelds, Patrick Kaufelds, Will Findley, Christian Hammond. Many nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Edward Hawkins; brothers, J. B. Roland, Vance Roland, Lester Roland and sisters, Floy Gambrell, Inez Spears and Anne McDougal. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Dr. Wendell Bannister officiating. Interment will follow in New Silverbrook Cemetery in Anderson, SC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 19, 2007 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
