Pauline Taylor Parker, age 89, affectionately known as Aunt Polly, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at North Pointe Assisted Living. Born in Pickens County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Major Taylor and the late Elizabeth Gillespie Taylor Urquhart. She was a graduate of Girl's High. She was a dedicated military wife traveling world-wide during her husband's time in the air force , together they retired in Merritt Island, FL. Polly was dedicated to her family. She is survived by her niece, Patricia Taylor Dunn and her husband Tommy; great nieces and nephews, Kimberly Dunn Addis and her husband Greg, Kevin Dunn and his wife Sally, and Jimmy Ray Dunn and his wife Brannan; and great-great nieces and nephews, Taylor, Emily, Jackson, Jacob, and Brantley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Retired Lieutenant Colonel, Walter A. Parker, Jr.; and brothers, Ralph Edward Taylor and Barney Ray Taylor. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Reverend Michael Kinard officiating. The family will gather for a time of visitation following the service. The family would like to give a special thank you to all of the caregivers at the Garden House, at North Pointe, and at Hospice of the Upstate for the time spent and the care shown to Aunt Polly in her time of need.
