PAYTON TAYLOR August 3, 1912 - April 18, 2007IVA, SCMr. Payton Taylor, age 94, husband of Grace Burdette Taylor and resident of Brighton Gardens of Greenville Assisted Living, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at Saint Francis Hospital in Greenville, SC.Born in Iva, SC on August 3, 1912, Mr. Taylor was the son of the late J. Baylus Taylor and Mary Ida McKee Taylor. He was employed with Jackson Mills as paymaster on April 4, 1942 and retired September 30, 1977 and also was employed as the Iva Town Clerk from January 1, 1955 to July 4, 1994. Mr. Taylor was a past member of the Iva Lions Club where he served as secretary. He was a member of Good Hope Presbyterian Church in Iva and was a former Deacon and Elder.Survivors include his wife, Grace Burdette Taylor; daughter, Mary Beth Moore and her husband, Don of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Stephanie Rigler of Indianapolis, IN, Jenna Moore of Greenville, SC, Jim Taylor of Charlotte, NC and Jennifer Fabris of Leesburg, GA; six great-grandchildren, Chase Rigler, Emily Taylor, Peyton Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Zack Fabris and Spencer Fabris.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James Guy Taylor.The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 11:00 am at Good Hope Presbyterian Church with the Reverends Annette Graham and Jerry Gray officiating. Interment will follow in Iva City Cemetery.The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday, April 21, 2007 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am prior to the service.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Hope Presbyterian Church, P.O.
