Mexie Pearl Smith Brock, age 90, of Anderson, SC, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021, at Condor Health of Anderson. Born January 12, 1931, in Toccoa, GA, she was a daughter of the late Sylvan Edge Smith and Mary Pearl Addison Smith. She was the widow of Edward Lee Brock. Pearlene was retired from LaFrance Industries and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed reading and family genealogy and loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Don Looney; brother, Morris Smith; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Dianne Bruno Hurlburt; grandson, Cam Bruno; brothers, Harold, Clyde, and Dan Smith; and sisters, Mildred Cox, Joan Whitlock, and Hazel Scarborough. A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. James Strickland officiating.
