Fields Baker, age 73, formerly of Summit Place, Anderson, died Monday, December 19, 2005 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson.Mrs. Baker was born in Anderson County on December 18, 1932, a daughter of the late William C. Fields and Bertie Murdock Hanks Fields. She was a graduate of Girls' High School and attended Anderson Junior College. Mrs. Baker had formerly been employed with Anderson Memorial Hospital and Gallant Belk's. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Anderson and for over forty years was a member of the Sanctuary Choir.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Earl Lewis Baker; three brothers, Ed Hanks, Steve Hanks and Boyce Murdock and one sister, Frances Roof.She is survived by a host of dear friends and her church family.The Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on December 21, 2005 in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with William R. West, Jr., and the Reverend Jerry Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Belton, SC. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service.
