Peggy Mae Smalley Dunlap, age 88, of Belton, SC, peacefully passed away at The Maples of Honea Path with her family by her side on Monday, March 21, 2022. Born October 16, 1933, she was the daughter of the late James William Smalley and Ila Vernon Smalley. Peggy was a graduate of Girls High and was a faithful member of Whitefield Baptist Church where she served in the children's Sunday School classes and Women of the Church ministries. She was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bobby Fred Dunlap; son, Ray Dunlap and his wife Gay; twin sister, Patsy Patterson; two very special nephews, Paul and Mark Threlkeld and their families; and other extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Jo Threlkeld; and two brothers, Alton and Theron Smalley. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Bob Clardy officiating.
