Peggy Hughes Peggy Greer Hughes, 79, loving wife of James (Jimmy) Hughes, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2013. Born in Anderson on August 31, 1934 she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Azalea Carlton Greer. She attended Marshall Memorial United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hughes was retired from the VA Clinic in Greenville where she worked for 30 years. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, James Hughes of Spartanburg, SC; a son and daughter-in-law Shane and Mari Hughes of Seoul, South Korea; and a step-daughter and son-in-law Michele and Larry Allison of Mauldin, SC. She was also blessed with 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 19th, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at Marshall Memorial United Methodist Church, 135 Riley St, Anderson. Burial will be immediately following the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Anderson SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial donations may be made to Marshall Memorial United Methodist Church.
