Peggy Sue Manley, age 77, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Seneca, SC on June 15, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Katie Sisk Smith and the late Jim Smith. Peggy was an avid painter and seamstress. She was a member of the Pendleton American Legion Auxiliary and Faith Fellowship Baptist Church where she attended as long as her health permitted.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jimmy L. Manley; children, Scott and Lee Manley, and Vickie Wallace; sisters, Evelyn Terry, Jimmie King, and Lois Parnell; a brother, Robert Smith; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathryn Nelms and Odetta Kimbrell: and a brother, Udell Smith.
The funeral service will be held at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery on Monday, August 8, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverends David Kay and Mark Duncan officiating.
The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home, prior to the service on Monday, from 12:15 p.m. until 1:15 p.m.
