Peggy O'Barr Owen, age 93, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025, at her home.

Born March 17, 1932, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Walter Eberhart O'Barr and Dessie Heaton O'Barr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, J. Holman Owen; a son, John H. Owen III; brothers, Walton, Lamar and Joe O'Barr; and sisters, Erah Lollis, Ruth Christian and Mary Cash.

She retired from AT & T as an assistant manager and was a member of Concord Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Alison Owen; granddaughter, Kelly Owen Brisson (Garrett) of Elizabethtown, NC; great grandchildren, Rhett Brisson and Lyddie Brook Brisson; and a daughter-in-law, Michelle Johnson.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Dr. Don Cox officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
