Peggy Louise Freeman Tannery, age 80, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015 at the Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Anderson, on June 18, 1935, she was the daughter of the late James Clayburn Freeman and the late Willie Mae Vaughn Smith. She retired from Anderson Armored Car as a bookkeeper after many years of service. Peggy attended Gethsemane Baptist Temple.
She is survived by her husband, James Vernon Tannery, of the home; two daughters, Lynn Alexander and her husband Terry and Lori Moore; a sister, Barbara Junkins and her husband Ansel; a granddaughter, Tabitha Segars; and a great-granddaughter, Holly Segars, all of Anderson, SC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Marty Tannery; and two sisters, Betty Pilgrim and Janith Acker.
The Graveside service to honor the life of Mrs. Tannery will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will gather for a time of visitation following the service.
