PERRY OAKLEY February 4, 1956 - August 26, 2008TOWNVILLE, SCMr. Perry Johnson Oakley, age 52, husband of Terry Cobb Oakley of 1024 Hattonford Road, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at the AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Fort Belvoir, VA on February 4, 1956, Mr. Oakley was a son of Bobby J. Oakley and the late Mary Helen Oakley. He was a graduate of Pendleton High School and Tri-County Technical College and was self-employed. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church in Townville.Survivors include his wife, Terry Cobb Oakley of the home; father, Bobby J. Oakley of Townville; sons, P. J. Oakley of Piedmont and David Oakley and his fianc', Meredith Haley and her children of Anderson; brother, Van Wayne Oakley of Harrisburg, NC; and three grandchildren, Justin C. Oakley, Joshua M. Oakley and Alyssa N. Teague.In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by brothers, Bobby J. Oakley, Jr., and Harold Furman Oakley.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2008 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of the McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Daryle Hawthorne. Interment will follow in Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 28, 2008 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the home of his son, David Oakley, 2205 Millgate Road, Anderson, SC.A message of condolence may be sent to the family by visitingwww.mcdougaldfuneralhome.comThe McDougald Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
