MELVYN SHIFLETT July 4, 1938 - February 11, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Perry Melvyn Shiflett, age 74, of Anderson, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson, SC he was the son of the late Sanford Shiflet and the late Geniva Farr Shiflet. He retired from Michelin after 17 years of service. He attended Belton Pentecostal Holiness Church. He enjoyed visiting others and was very dedicated to his church. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Donald Shiflet; his children and step-children, Jimmy Shiflet, Jackie Pitts, Greg Johnson, Joey Johnson, Sherry Sims and Debbie Whiten; his siblings, Haskel Shiflet, O'dell Shiflet and Etrulia Shiflet; and 13 grandchildren and step-grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Palmer Shiflet. A Service of Celebration will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will be at their respective homes.
